Updates on Typhoon Parma

Not one week has passed since typhoon Ondoy (international name Ketsana) has caused devastation and despair to millions of Filipinos, super typhoon Pepeng (international name: Parma) is set to cause major havoc in the next few days.

With sustained winds of 240kph to 300kph, Pepeng is expected to arrive in certain areas in the Philippines on Friday evening (Manila time) and bring massive rainfall until Saturday or Sunday.

Ondoy has indeed left a great lesson, and it is worth noting that government agencies in the Philippines, as well as everyone else, are taking all precautionary measures to ensure that the damage caused by Ondoy will not be matched or exceeded by the damage that Pepeng will cause.
